Richardson signs Veterans Museum Act

Las Cruces, NM – The city of Las Cruces will be home to the state Veterans Museum.

Governor Bill Richardson was in Las Cruces this morning to sign House Bill 59 calling for the museum's construction.

New Mexico is home to 180,000 veterans of which more than 14,000 call Dona Ana County home.

The Veterans Museum Act was sponsored by Las Cruces State Representative Jeff Steinborn.

While in Las Cruces, Richardson also met with New Mexicans for two hours to talk about the proposals approved during the 2009 Legislative Session.
