Road Rage In Las Cruces Leads To Stabbing

Las Cruces Police are continuing to investigate an apparent road rage incident from Wednesday evening that resulted in the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy.

The teenage boy was initially transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center and then to University Medical Center of El Paso. He remains hospitalized in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing that occurred on the 3400 block of Parkridge Place. Officer learned the 17-year-old was stabbed during a physical confrontation with a motorist who had aggressively followed him to that location.

The suspect then drove away from the scene. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man who is possibly in his 40s.
