Rocky Lara Campaign: Pearce Ad Is Deceptive

Rocky Lara’s campaign released the following statement in response to Congressman Pearce’s deceptive ad.

“Congressman Pearce’s career adding to the partisanship and dysfunction in Washington stands in stark contrast to his claims of ‘so-called’ independence and tireless work for southern New Mexico,” said Brian Lenzmeier, Campaign Manager for Rocky Lara for Congress. “If Congressman Pearce cared about southern New Mexicans, he wouldn’t protect the taxpayer-funded perks for him and his colleagues, he wouldn’t have voted for the reckless government shutdown, or voted to end the Medicare guarantee for our seniors. Those are the wrong priorities for southern New Mexico’s middle-class families.”

Background
