A Roswell man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing outside an apartment two months ago.
Roswell police announced Friday that 21-year-old Anthony Ray Romero has been booked into the Chaves County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
They say he's being held on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
Police say an arrest warrant was obtained Thursday following an investigation into the March 22 stabbing.
They say Romero got into a verbal altercation with a 24-year-old Roswell man and it led to a fight outside the apartment.
Police say Romero had a knife and allegedly stabbed the victim in the chest, abdomen, back and left hand.
They say the man is recovering after being treated at a Texas hospital.
