Two firefighters in the village of Ruidoso are taking heat for posting photos of two women at a fire station. Village officials said Friday they only learned this week about the pictures, which were first posted on Facebook in July.
The snapshots include the two women, one wearing a skirt and the other cutoff jeans, clasping a station pole and pretending to wash a fire engine at the direction of the firefighters.
Village spokeswoman Kerry Gladden says both firefighters and interim Fire Chief Harlan Vincent, who was not present at the shoot, have been disciplined.
Gladden says the shoot was presented as something that was supposed to be "tasteful."
She says officials are now reviewing policies and procedures regarding public photo requests.
