Santa Fe, NM – New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas and Mothers Against Drunk Driving New Mexico (MADDNM) are teaming up to urge New Mexicans to plan ahead for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and not drive after drinking.
“As tens of thousands of New Mexicans plan to go out to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, I am asking all New Mexicans to plan ahead and not drive after drinking,” said Attorney General Hector Balderas. “Plan ahead by finding a designated driver, scheduling a taxi or car, or utilizing Safe Ride Home services in your area. Don’t put lives in danger or risk getting stopped by local or State Police. It’s just not worth it.”
“Even one life lost due to an impaired driving crash is one too many. MADD New Mexico urges everybody to do your part to keep our roads safe this St. Paddy’s Day,” commented MADD New Mexico State Director, Ben Lewinger.
New Mexicans are also encouraged to download the ENDWI app for android and iPhones, which has all of the Safe Ride Home phone numbers available in New Mexico, or visithttp://www.endwi.com/programs/
