Santa Fe Community College President Put On Leave

The president of Santa Fe Community College has been placed on paid leave.

The governing board took the action regarding college President Ana "Cha" Guzman without explanation after a closed-door meeting. It only said Guzman will remain on paid administrative leave pending further action by the board.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that Guzman did not respond to requests for comment.

Guzman was hired last year.

The college in August announced that it had hired an investigator to look into staff complaints about Guzman's management style. Guzman said at the time she welcomed the review.

Academic Affairs Vice President Randy Grissom is acting president.
