Santa Fe Man Arrested, Accused Of Killing His Adult Daughter

A 65-year-old Santa Fe man is accused of killing of his adult daughter.

Authorities say William Kelley was arrested Monday night on charges of murder and tampering with evidence in the death of 30-year-old Julieanne Kelley.

Kelley called 911 early on Jan. 16, 2015 to report that his daughter was missing after leaving the home that they shared.

The daughter's body was later found on the property and an autopsy determined that she died from blunt force trauma and 30 to 35 stabbing and chopping wounds.

A Sheriff's Office affidavit said blood with human female DNA was found on a shirt that Kelley said he'd worn that night.

Kelley remained jailed Tuesday and court records didn't list an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
