Secretary of State Toulouse Oliver Posts Additional Financial Disclosures for Public Officials

New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver

SANTA FE – Keeping her promise to increase transparency and accountability in New Mexico government, Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver has posted the financial disclosure statements of public officials dating back to 2013 on the Secretary of State’s Office’s website. The financial disclosures, which are searchable by year and name, can be found here.

“By making the financial dealings of public officials more accessible, we give taxpayers the power to hold government leaders accountable,” said Secretary Toulouse Oliver. “Transparency is more important than ever in the current political climate, which is why I remain committed to creating a fairer and more open government.”

In February of this year, Secretary Toulouse Oliver posted the 2017 Financial Disclosure Statements to her office’s website. At the time, Secretary Toulouse Oliver announced her commitment to posting statements dating back five years – a promise that became a reality with today’s announcement.

As a precaution, the “Residence Address” sections of the statements for public officials working in the judicial, law enforcement and related agencies have been redacted for the online versions only. The redactions do not affect the integrity of the originally submitted document. Original, non-redacted copies of these financial disclosure statements are available for in-person review at the Office.

Future financial disclosure statements will be posted to the Secretary of State’s Office’s website as they are filed. According to statute, the 2018 Financial Disclosure Statements must be submitted to the Secretary of State’s Office during the month of January 2018.
