Santa Fe, NM – Monique Jacobson won confirmation on Wednesday as secretary of the Tourism Department and retired Air Force Col. Timothy Hale was approved as veterans' services secretary
Hale retired from the military in 2008 after 28 years. He commanded the 486th Expeditionary Operations Group during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Jacobson, a New Mexico native, was a marketing executive for PepsiCo before her state appointment. She holds a degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania's business school.
