Shoeprints Lead To Three Arrests And Recovery Of Stolen Items

Las Cruces – Last night at approximately 10:20 p.m. Dona Ana County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 2200 block of Denali, Chaparral, after it was reported that items had been allegedly taken from a residence and vehicle at this location.

Sheriff's Deputies tracked shoe prints to a residence in the 2080 block of Green Tree Loop.

Deputies made contact with a male individual at this residence who then led Sheriff's Deputies to another residence in the 1600 block of San Carlos, where his two accomplices were found to be hiding.

Sheriff's Deputies, after receiving consent from the home owner to search the residence and a vehicle at this location, recovered two plasma televisions, a Play Station, two laptop computers, a car stereo and clothing.

BRIAN CARRANZA, age 17, of the 1600 block of San Carlos, Chaparral, was charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Residential Burglary.

DANIEL PIEDRA, age 15, of the 2080 block of Green Tree Loop, Chaparral, was charged with one count of Residential Burglary and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Residential Burglary.

EDUARDO CARRANZA, age 16, of the 1600 block of San Carlos, Chaparral, was charged with one count of Residential Burglary, one count of Conspiracy to Commit Residential Burglary and one count of Auto Burglary.

All three individuals were released to the custody of their parents and will be referred to the Juvenile Probation Office.
