South Central Regional Transit District Ridership up 21 percent & New Service to El Paso

  Ridership continues to grow, up 21 percent, month over month in October.   New bus stops, student and work trips have contributed to ridership growth of 37 percent since July. 

New bus service to El Paso will begin on Monday, November 14, 2016.   Service on the Purple route will be extended from the Sunland Park Casino to El Paso’s Westside Transit Center located on Remcon Circle and additional peak service on the Red Route in the afternoon.    More details available on our website, and Facebook page.   

Bus fares will be $1.00 for each Adult trip.   Reduced fares are at one half of the Adult fare (e.g. 50 cents) per trip:   Seniors (60 + years), Youth (6-18), Students and People with Disabilities.  Children (5 & under) may ride free with each paying adult.    Transfers between routes are provided free and limited by direction of the paid trip.

Bus schedule information with individual trips times are available on the bus, the SCRTD website at SCRTD.ORG, and at local libraries, La Clinica, Doña County Government Center, Mesilla Town Hall, Anthony City Hall, and community centers located along the bus routes.
