Southern NM Health Center Gets Federal Funds

By KRWG News

Las Cruces, NM – A group of health care centers around southern New Mexico has been awarded nearly $1 million in federal funding to continue providing primary medical and dental care and other services.

The funding for the Ben Archer Health Center comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

U.S. Sen. Tom Udall announced the funding. The New Mexico Democrat says Ben Archer should be commended for its work with rural and underserved communities.

Ben Archer has been operating in southern New Mexico since 1971. It has offices in Sierra, Luna, Otero and northern Dona Ana counties.
