State-Run Magazine Celebrates NM Centennial
New Mexico – SANTA FE, N.M. (KRWG) New Mexico Magazine is publishing an edition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of New Mexico's statehood.
The cover of the January edition of the state-run magazine features a centennial medallion. The magazine commissioned a Santa Fe silversmith to create the artwork of turquoise, silver and gold.
The magazine has articles by historian Richard Melzer and author Hampton Sides, who lives in New Mexico.
The statehood centennial edition of the magazine is available at newsstands.
New Mexico became a state on Jan. 6, 1912.
