Suspect Accused Of Making Threat Caught On Camera

Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for a man who walked into a north valley liquor store Monday evening, stole a 12-pack of beer and threatened to kill the clerk. The man was caught on surveillance video.

Just after 7 p.m., deputies were called to the 5100 block of Doña Ana Road, where the clerk said a Hispanic male, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, walked in and grabbed a 12-pack of beer.

According to the clerk, the man approached the counter, told the clerk he was taking the beer and that if the clerk called police, he would come back to kill him and that “it wouldn’t be pretty.”

The man is described as having a medium complexion with facial stubble, standing between five-feet-eight and five-feet-ten inches tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds. He arrived in a baby-blue mid-90s Lincoln sedan with a chrome strip along the bottom. Another heavy-set man was said to have been driving the car.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office at (575) 525-8810 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477). Anonymous tip via text message may be sent to CRIMES (274637) using the keyword LCTIPS.
