Suspected Florida Gunman Previously Worked For District Attorney's Office

A man suspected of shooting three people at a Florida State University's library Thursday worked for the District Attorney's office in Las Cruces.

The State Bar of New Mexico spokeswoman D.D. Wolohan says Myron May was listed as an attorney for the Dona Ana District Attorney until recently.

In addition, a Las Cruces police report last month says May was the subject of a harassment complaint from a former girlfriend.

Danielle Nixon told police that May had recently developed "a severe mental disorder" and he came to her home to complain that police had placed cameras in his home and car.

The report says Nixon said May recently had taken a trip to Colorado for no reason and stayed up for five days straight. No charges were filed.

Nixon told police May had quit his job.
