By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police have charged four teenagers for their involvement in at least three residential burglaries that were reported over the past few weeks.

Michael Nava, 17, Raul Serna, 15, and 16-year-olds Marcus Bustamante and Victor Orquiz, were each charged with burglary of a dwelling, attempted burglary and conspiracy.

At around 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, Las Cruces Police were called to the 4700 block of Agave Drive where a homeowner interrupted a burglary in progress. Officers arrived and learned that four young men left the area in a blue pickup.

Officers later located the four teens in a blue pickup near the intersection of Wall Street and Oleta Drive. The four were taken into custody and interviewed.

Officers found the teens in possession of property from a residential burglary that was reported at a home outside of Las Cruces. The teens were also linked to residential burglaries that occurred on Stony Brook Circle and Las Alturas Drive.

The four minors were given juvenile Class III citations charging them with the crimes.
