Temporary Relocation For Therapeutic Recreation Program

The Life Center, 2225 E. Griggs Ave., recently purchased by Angel Care of New Mexico, will close March 1 for renovation.

During the renovation, the City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department's Therapeutic Recreation Program will temporarily move all recreational activities usually held at the Life Center to the Frank O'Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave.

Once renovations are complete, Therapeutic Recreation Program activities previously held at the facility will resume, to include expanded programming.

The City of Las Cruces Therapeutic Recreation Programs assists adults and youth, with and without disabilities, to use their leisure time to enhance their physical, social, recreational, and artistic abilities.

The program provides a wide variety of activities at various locations throughout the community.  The program's monthly activities calendar is available online at www.las-cruces.org by clicking on Departments, Parks & Recreation Department, Services, Recreation Programs, Therapeutic Program.
