A Texan man who had just been released from jail is behind bars again in New Mexico for allegedly robbing a store in Santa Fe.
Santa Fe police say 22-year-old Justin Pruitt is being held without bond after being accused of robbing the Arcade News shop early Wednesday.
Police say Pruitt took $60 after telling the store clerk that he had a firearm.
Pruitt also allegedly placed a cigarette lighter against the clerk's neck to pretend he had a weapon and then punched the victim in the face before fleeing.
He was later located and arrested on suspicion of armed robbery with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence.
Police say Pruitt had recently been released from a jail in New Mexico's Taos County.
