Three Teens Charged In Felony Tagging Cases

Three Doña Ana County teens have been charged after admitting they spray-painted several buildings in Vado, including the Del Cerro Community Center and a tractor-trailer at a nearby truck stop.

   According to Doña Ana County Sheriff’s investigators, Luis Alonso Torres Martinez, Hector Ochoa and Anselmo Garcia, all 16 years old, admitted they were responsible for graffiti that was found on the Del Cerro Community Center in the 100 block of La Fe, a building that belongs to the Lower Rio Grande Water District, and a tractor-trailer parked at a truck stop in the 1700 block of Vado Drive.

   Investigators say the damage to all three properties is estimated to be over $17,000.

   All three juveniles have been charged with two counts of felony criminal damage to property over $1,000, two counts of conspiracy, one count of criminal damage to property under $1,000 and one count of criminal trespassing.

   Both Ochoa and Garcia were additionally charged with probation violations.
