Thursday Event At NMSU Designed To Help Former Students

New Mexico State University’s Cross Campus Advising office will host a “Come Back and Complete” information session from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the Educational Services Building, Room 7.

The event is designed to help former students learn how they can re-enroll at NMSU and how many credits they need to complete their bachelor’s degrees. Former students also can learn about options for possible financial assistance and information about NMSU programs.

“The second annual ‘Come Back and Complete’ event is a continued effort to help former NMSU students finish their bachelor’s degrees,” said Marissa Macias, cross-campus adviser. “Our former students have invested time, money and a lot of hard work into their education. I want to help them re-enroll and get that degree.

“Several students from last year’s event were able to re-enroll and are currently taking classes,” she added. “The purpose of Cross Campus Advising and the Aggie Capstone Graduation Challenge is to help students meet their academic goals. Life happens and sometimes it is necessary to take a break from our education. That’s OK; just don’t make it a permanent break. Once an Aggie, always an Aggie; and NMSU wants students to come back and finish their degree. This event will help students get the process started.”
