Thursday Night Closure Of Missouri Avenue In Las Cruces

Las Cruces – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One office along with FNF Construction continue with overnight closures as work progress within the intersections of Missouri Avenue, Triviz Drive and Don Roser Drive.

The next overnight closure is scheduled for Thursday June 25 at 8:00 pm and will be lifted by Friday June 26, 2015 at 5:00 am. The closure is necessary in order for the contractor to move utility lines and place temporary light poles at the intersection of Triviz Drive and Missouri Avenue. Motorists traveling eastbound will have access to Missouri Avenue; however, westbound traffic will have detours posted alerting them to seek an alternate route during this closure.

Work along I-25 continues with daily operations Monday through Friday from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. Motorists traveling southbound on I-25 from mile marker 4.5 (south of US 70/N. Main exit) to University Ave exit 1 will encounter 10 foot width restrictions. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between University Ave (exit 1) and Lohman Ave (exit 3). The contractor has crews working on the southbound bridge deck and the realignment of the I-25 southbound lanes.

The NMDOT and FNF Construction will be holding a Public Involvement Meeting Wednesday June 24, 2015 at the NMDOT District One Complex located at 750 N. Solano in Las Cruces, NM.
