Triviz Pathway Assault In Las Cruces

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the man suspected of assaulting a woman who was jogging along the Triviz Drive multi-path.

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, a large group of women was jogging southbound along the Triviz bike path. As the group neared Idaho Avenue a man approached one of the women and, in a threatening manner, demanded that she stop. The woman was able to avoid the man but was clearly frightened by his demeanor and demand.

The man fled the pathway on foot heading westbound on Idaho Avenue and behind an apartment complex.

The man was described as white, in his mid to late 20s, and was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and fatigue cargo pants.
