Tropical Storm Brings More Rain To The Area

Flash flood watches are in effect for most of New Mexico as remnants from Tropical Storm Odile move through the state and are expected to bring heavy rain throughout the week.

Weather radar shows large storm clusters over the state Wednesday morning, generally moving the southwest toward the northeast.

Five-day National Weather Service forecasts call for 2 to 5 inches in southern New Mexico, with up to 8 inches in the southwestern and south-central mountain regions.

Officials warn thunderstorms in areas previously damaged by wildfires also could cause flooding and possible mudslides.
