Two men have pleaded guilty to murder charges in the shooting death of a Las Cruces smoke shop clerk during a 2012 robbery attempt.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that 36-year-old Ernest Bloberg and 24-year-old Shawn Barela pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges Monday in state District Court.

Roy Santos was shot in his car in the robbery attempt.

Barela was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

A third person, 26-year-old Rose Hinjosa, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and other charges. She and Bloberg haven't been sentenced.
