Today, U.S. Senator Tom Udall thanked Emerson Morrow of Las Cruces for his work as an intern in his Washington, D.C., office this summer. During his seven weeks on Capitol Hill, Morrow worked with the senator’s communications team.
"An internship in the U.S. Senate provides students with an invaluable learning opportunity, and it has been a pleasure to have Emerson in my office this summer,” Udall said. “I wish him the best as he uses the knowledge and experiences he has gained from his internship to pursue his passions."
“With the passage of Senator Udall's Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, it has been an especially exciting time to be interning in his office,” Morrow said. “The senator and his staff are always working on such important and worthwhile issues, and it has been incredibly rewarding to help communicate that message back to the people of New Mexico.”
Morrow is the son of Tommy and Sandy Morrow and graduated from Mayfield High School, where he was president of the class of 2015. Morrow is currently a sophomore at New Mexico State University, where he is a President’s Associates Excellence scholar studying government, journalism and mass communications. He completed an internship in the office of U.S. Representative Ben Ray Luján last summer.
