Albuquerque, New Mexico – ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRWG) The finalists for president of the University of New Mexico are expected to be announced soon. Search committee chair Jack Fortner tells the Albuquerque Journal (http://bit.ly/t8D76b ) he expects to release the names of the five finalists by Dec. 6.
A human resources vice president says afterward the school will begin hosting the candidates for daylong interviews with faculty, staff and student groups.
UNM President David Schmidly announced in April that he would step down when his contract expires next summer.
