The District One office for the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) continues to update their roadway conditions onwww.nmroads.com as conditions change. Currently Interstate 10 and 25 along with all State and secondary routes are reporting difficult driving conditions.
CLOSURES:
NM-152 is CLOSED due to winter weather conditions as roadways are snow packed and icy.
NM159, NM-52 and NM-174 have been closed due to the flood, and will remain closed until conditions change.
I-10 Arizona to Texas State line:
I-10 corridor is reporting high winds, with snow and rain. Roadways are icy in various areas which will make driving conditions very difficult as black icy will form at the bridge overpasses.
I-25:
I-25 from Socorro to Las Cruces is reporting snow and rain, with black icy throughout the interstate and on the bridge overpasses.
Additional routes include: US-70, US-60 and US-180 with snow flurries and slick roadways. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution throughout the weekend as the storm moves through New Mexico. The NMDOT has Maintenance personnel detailed out in full operation as they work across the state conducting snow removal operations.
