Las Cruces – The FBI and Las Cruces Police are looking for man who robbed the Wells Fargo bank at 2400 N. Main St. on Wednesday morning.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-50s with a short white beard.

He wore a gray long-sleeve New Mexico State Aggies shirt, beige pants, a tan baseball-style cap with an oval decal on the front, and sunglasses.

The suspect has a slight to medium build, is about 5'6 to 5'7 tall and weighs about 125-130 pounds.

Witnesses say the robber entered the bank at about 9:07 a.m. and handed the teller a note that demanded money.

He left with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen heading southbound on foot.

Nobody was injured.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
