UPDATE: Martinez Transition Team

By KRWG News

New Mexico – Gov.-elect Susana Martinez is tapping campaign aides as well as a former state Supreme Court justice and a former state legislator as top members of her transition team.

Martinez announced Friday that former state Rep. Brian Moore of Clayton will be director of policy planning for her transition committee.

Albuquerque lawyer Paul Kennedy will serve as chief legal counsel. Kennedy served on the Supreme Court in 2002.

Martinez campaign manager Ryan Cangiolosi (Kan-juh-LOH'-see) is director of personnel.

The transition deputy chairwoman is Nicole McCleskey, who did polling for the campaign and is a partner at the national research firm of Public Opinion Strategies.

On Thursday, Martinez named former Congresswoman Heather Wilson to lead her transition committee.

Martinez, a Republican, will take office on Jan. 1.
