UPDATE: Package At NMSU "Rendered Safe," Streets Reopen

UPDATE from NMSU Police: The device has been rendered safe, and streets near the Center for the Arts have reopened.  Explosive detection canine teams are conducting safety sweeps of nearby buildings. Once those sweeps are complete, more information will be provided.

The ASNMSU Center for the Arts will open at 10:00 am today. The South entrance will remain closed while police continue to gather evidence.
 
The William Conroy Honors Center and Music Building are now open and classes will resume on the regular schedule. The Nason House and The O’Laughlin House are also open. All other buildings are open.
 
University Avenue is now open and traffic is moving in both directions. Espina Street is being opened at this time.
