UPDATE: Suspect In Custody In Burglary Of NMSU's O'Donnell Hall

  UPDATE---LCPD has received word that police at New Mexico State University have identified the male suspect who is now is custody.

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps identify the young man suspected of burglarizing an academic building at New Mexico State University twice within the past week.

  Police at New Mexico State University are investigating two burglaries since June 19 at O’Donnell Hall. The burglaries are believed to have occurred between the hours of 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on June 19, and at around 6 p.m. on June 24. The man is suspected of stealing computers and other electronics from offices within O’Donnell Hall.

The suspect is described as a young Hispanic man, possibly in his late teens or early 20s. He appears to be tall with a thin build. He was accompanied by a woman, possibly a girlfriend, who may be pregnant. She is also described as Hispanic.

Surveillance cameras at O’Donnell Hall captured images of the couple as they walked through the building.

Anyone with information that can help identify either one, or both, of these individuals is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
