VA To Hold Town Halls In Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE – All veterans are invited to attend two Town Halls on Sept. 10 in southeast Albuquerque.  The purpose of the meetings will be to offer veterans and their family members an opportunity to discuss VA health care services and veterans’ disability claims.

Representatives of the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) will present information about health care services and field questions from those attending during the first town hall. That session will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. at the New Mexico Veterans’ Memorial, 1100 Louisiana Blvd SE, in Albuquerque.  Subject matter experts from the NMVAHCS also will be available for individual questions and needs at outreach tables.

Veterans with questions about disability claims may also attend a second town hall at the same location that same day from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., hosted by representatives from the Albuquerque VA Regional Office of the Veterans Benefits Administration.  Local news media will be invited to cover both town halls.  Partisan political activity will not be permitted.

For more information, contact the NMVAHCS Public Affairs Office at (505) 256-6495.
