Las Cruces – The widow of one of the victims in the Las Cruces area's worst killing in 20 years has been named by investigators as a "person of interest" in the case.
Dona Ana Sheriff's Sgt. Joe Reynaud told the Las Cruces Sun-News that Barb Weith, widow of San Diego businessman Peter Weith, needs to corroborate information authorities were provided in a recent tip.
Barb Weith has refused to be interviewed since her 68-year-old husband and his business partners, 69-year-old Gilles Delisle and his 72-year-old wife, Helga, were shot in the Delisles' home in Mesilla (Meh-SEE'-yah) on the evening of April 14.
Reynaud declined to disclose details of the tip or say how it implicated Barb Weith.
