A Chimayo widow is pleading for the return of her husband's gravestone after it was stolen from her porch.
Chenee Sherwood is hoping whoever took the 150-pound gravestone will get it back to her.
Sherwood says she ordered the gravestone online April 1.
She says she kept it in a box on the porch until she could get help hauling it to the cemetery.
According to a Rio Arriba County Sheriff's Office report, she noticed it went missing April 24.
Sheriff's spokesman Jake Arnold says the thief won't be prosecuted if there is some way to get the gravestone back.
Sherwood says it is valued at $928.
It reads "Beloved Husband, Father and Son, Christopher Eli Sherwood."
