New Mexico – Gov.-elect Susana Martinez says her pick to head up her transition team is "respected, accomplished, honest and a very trustworthy leader."
Martinez on Thursday said she has selected former New Mexico Congresswoman Heather Wilson to take on the job, saying Wilson will find "the most qualified individuals and principled people."
Wilson, who served five terms representing the Albuquerque area before an unsuccessful GOP Senate bid, says she's confident she'll find "fresh faces" for Martinez's administration.
Wilson says there's no timetable for Martinez to start making appointments, but a website is being set up to help in hiring people for her administration.
