Las Cruces police arrested a woman suspected of stabbing another woman Sunday afternoon at the Community of Hope.

Amber N. Lindsay, 22, who resides at the Community of Hope, is charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The charge is a third-degree felony.

On the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 29, investigators learned that Lindsay approached her ex-boyfriend who was with his new girlfriend, both of whom were sitting on the north side of the Community of Hope building at 999 W. The victim was transported to Memorial Medical Center. Her injuries were not life-threatening. Police located Lindsay at the Community of Hope and took her into custody.

Lindsay was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where she is being held on a $10,000 bond.
