Women Who Died Fleeing Vehicle In Albuquerque ID'd

Police in Albuquerque say a driver is in custody after a woman tried to jump out of his moving car and was fatally run over.

The arrest of 39-year-old Nathaniel Hertzog was announced Wednesday but police didn't immediately release what charges he is facing.

Police say the incident occurred Saturday night near Lomas Boulevard and Wyoming.

They say the couple was arguing in the vehicle while it was traveling eastbound on a stretch of Lomas that goes over Interstate 40.

Police say 39-year-old Stephanie Frost tried to get out of the vehicle while it was moving.

They say she got caught under the car and died from her injuries.

Police say Hertzog left the scene but was identified and arrested.

It was unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
