The Zuhl Museum on the NMSU Las Cruces campus has always been an amazing spot to see rocks, fossils, and beautiful displays of petrified wood.
And this week…the museum is showing off a major expansion.
The public is invited for a ribbon cutting at 2:30pm Thursday and a reception from 5pm to 7pm.
From the Zuhl website:
Part art gallery, part natural history museum, the Zuhl Museum at NMSU is the home of the Zuhl Collection containing over 1,800 beautiful specimens of petrified wood, fossils and minerals.
The majority of the pieces can be viewed at the Zuhl Museum but don’t miss the displays in the Zuhl Library and at Gardiner Hall, home to the Department of Geological Sciences.
