February 3, 2012 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with 1970's Dona Ana County Commissioner and Retired Dona Ana Community College Construction Program Educator, Manuel M. Leyva. His family has been in the community for over a century. Leyva served in the Army during the Korean War, and has been married to local resident, Lupe Reyes Leyva for 53 years. On this segment Leyva shares his experiences about pecan farming. Part One-pecans.

November 1, 2010 – On this edition of PUENTES we bridge the community with Los Angeles Producer, Composer and Musician, Frank Wolf, whose stage name is AngelOrGhost. Wolf will present his production of "Dreams," a concert with original music and visuals at the Flickinger Center in Alamogordo on Friday, November 5th and Saturday, the 6th at 7:30 p.m. There will be a matinee performance on Sunday, November 7th at 2:30 p.m. For more information visit angelorghost dot com.

October 11, 2010 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with Dona Ana Community College Coordinator of Donor Services and Special Events, Erlinda Portillo. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month in Las Cruces, NMSU's Dona Ana Community College will hold their eighth annual education benefit Dance and Golf Tournament on October 15th with the Texas Tornados and Rick Trevino.

September 27, 2010 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with Author and Professor of Spanish Linguistics at New Mexico State University, Dr. Daniel J. Villa. Villa will be presenting at the 39th Annual Conference of the Linguistics Association of the Southwest - LASSO, scheduled for October 7, 8 & 9 in Las Cruces, with the theme, "Celebrating Linguistic Diversity in the United States." The focus is "Spanish for Heritage Speakers," and "Spanish West of the Mississippi."

September 20, 2010 – On this edition of Puentes we bridge the community with business owner and restauranteur, Roberto Estrada. He created a large New Mexico style flat layered enchilada for The Whole Enchilada Fiesta.Las Cruces will celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Whole Enchilada Fiesta on September 24, 25 & 26 at Meerscheidt Sports Complex. September 13th, 2010 – On this edition of PUENTES we bridge the community with Artist and Poet, Virginia Maria Romero. Romero's love of animals and an influence of religion have brought her recognition and several honors. Her newest exhibition, "Retablos - A Cultural Legacy," can be seen at the Abrazos Gallery through October 23rd at the Chamizal National Memorial in El Paso.

September 6th, 2010 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with 92 year-old World War II Veteran, retired mine worker and Local 890 activist, Arturo V. Flores, proud of his career, continues to advocate for the unions. Flores and his son, Lorenzo Flores, have formed "Juntos En La Union.Org," an organization to try to preserve Mine Mill Local 890's building to honor and recognize the sacrifices and contributions that generations of workers have made to the community.

August 23rd, 2010 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with 90 year-old educator, historian, administrator and former local state legislator, J. Paul Taylor, proud of his colonial roots in New Mexico's Hispanic culture.

August 16th, 2010 – On this edition of PUENTES we bridge the community with Director of the Border Book Festival and Latina author, Denise Chavez, with a variety of workshops and talks as part of the Border Book Festival's yearlong 17th anniversary. Chavez defines the Border Book Festival; retablos; ex-votos and tertulias.

August 9tth, 2010 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with NMSU third year graduate student, Zoe Cornwell from the Family and Consumer Sciences Department. Cornwell is seeking Latina Women for a focus study group on "Latinas: Labor and Parenting" with a deadline of August 14th

August 2nd, 2010 – On this edition of Puentes, Emily Guerra bridges the community with Documentary Photographer Linda Montoya. In 1984 and again in 2003, Montoya traveled to a small town in Chiapas to capture the images of the women in the city. Montoya's photos are the subject of the exhibit "Faces of Chiapas" opening this Friday at the Branigan Cultural Center. There will be an opening reception on Friday from 5 to 7pm.

July 27, 2010 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with Executive Director of New Mexico Senior Olympics in Roswell, Cecilia Acosta. The 32nd annual Senior Olympic Summer Games will take place July 28th through August 1st in Las Cruces. Their motto is "You don't stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing."

May 7th, 2010 – On this edition of PUENTES, we bridge the community with Linguistics Professor from Western New Mexico University in Silver City, and President of Casa de Cultura in Santa Clara, Dr. Maria Eugenia Trillo. She talks about the significance of Casa de La Cultura to preserve grant County's rich cultural heritages.

May 3rd, 2010 – Emily Guerra bridges the community on this edition of PUENTES with Media Specialist with the U.S. Census 2010 for New Mexico Veronica Reyes. On this edition of PUENTES, Veronica Reyes talks about employment, and the second phase of counting those who have not returned their forms.

April 23rd, 2010 – On the first edition of PUENTES we bridge the community with Project in Motion Dance Company Artistic Director Hilary McDaniel-Douglas who started out as trapeze artist and aerialist, and is now adjunct instructor of dance for New Mexico State University. She talks about the concept of the performance; the music; and about being one of the performers.
