She is American born and was raised primarily in Mexico City, but also lived in Panama and Madrid, Spain. Her experience as a lyric mezzo-soprano and her love of Mariachi Mexican songs brought about a new singing style for women called “Operachi,” a fusion of opera and Mariachi.
