  February 5, 2016 – Las Cruces, NM - On this edition of PUENTES, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra meets with White Sands National Monument Chief of Interpretation, Becky Burghart. This year marks 100 years of the National Park Service. The Park Service has set aside 59 nature sites throughout the Nation – like the dunes of the White Sands National Monument here in New Mexico.

BLM Offers Employment Opportunities to Youth

  March 27, 2015 – Las Cruces, NM - On this edition of PUENTES, Emily Guerra bridges the community with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Outdoor Recreation Planner, McKinney Briske, and DOI/VISTA AmeriCorps Volunteer, Eileen Davis. They are working with Doña Ana Groundworks to hire Youth Rangers that will lead outreach programs throughout BLM sites in New Mexico such as Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, and other partner sites such as Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park and White Sands National Monument.

July 11, 2014 – Las Cruces, NM - On this edition of PUENTES, Emily Guerra bridges the community with (WSNM) White Sands National Monument Chief of Interpretation, Becky Wiles Burghart to give us a brief history of WSNM, the world’s largest gypsum dune field, covering 275 square miles over the Chihuahuan Desert in the Tularosa Basin of southern New Mexico. The monument can be enjoyed all year-round. They receive approximately 490,000 visitors a year from around the world and locally. Enjoy a Full Moon Night on Saturday, July 12 at 8:30 p.m.
