The band is visiting the region as part Cultural Series organized by the Associated Students of New Mexico State University. The plan signed earlier this week will cover the cost of numerous projects and return more money to taxpayers. Tour of the Gila May Canceled This year

Las Cruces, NM – Grant County is still hurting financially from recent job cuts at the area's largest employer Freeport-McMoran. Now, the region could see a substantial dip in tourism dollars if a popular bicycle race is canceled this year. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda, organizers of the annual Tour of the Gila may be forced to cancel the event because of insufficient funding related to the struggling economy.
