ASTC Hosting Mardi Gras Gala

Las Cruces, NM – The Mardi Gras Gala in its fourth consecutive year will be among the first events held in the new convention center.

The event will include a silent auction that will include artwork, furniture and jewelry. There will also be music, hors d'oeurves, a cash bar and costume contest.
American Southwest Theater Company managing director Tom Smith says the gala proceeds will benefit programs.

Smith-"100% of the proceed will go to fund ASTC's outreach programs which include the guest artist outreach programs which include the guest artist outreach program which allows us to bring guests to work at the NMSU campus with theater arts students. And also our community outreach program which allows us to present productions to Las Cruces public school children free of charge."

The gala is Friday from seven to eleven in the evening tickets are thirty dollars a person or two hundred seventy-five dollars for a table of ten.
