Conservation Voters New Mexico Makes Endorsements

Commentary: Conservation Voters New Mexico (CVNM), via its coordinated political action committee CVNM Action Fund (CVNMAF), continues its efforts to build a strong political voice for our air, land and water by endorsing candidates who will work to protect New Mexico’s families and communities. CVNMAF has endorsed candidates for state House of Representatives, state Senate, Secretary of State, and Grant County Commission for the Nov. 8, 2016 general election.

“When it comes to ensuring that our families and communities are healthy and resilient, every vote counts – whether at the ballot box or in the Roundhouse,” says Ben Shelton, CVNM Political & Legislative Director. “That’s why we’re honored to endorse this slate of New Mexicans who will ensure that each voice is heard both in our elections, and in the policy debates that impact our lives.”

CVNM Action Fund engages in a thorough endorsement process and endorses candidates based on their conservation records and responses to a questionnaire on topics including environmental justice, environmental health, quality of life, energy, water, land use, transportation, wildlife and wilderness.
