Democrat Running For Doña Ana County Commission District 1

Commentary: Antoinette Reyes is a Democrat running for Doña Ana County Commissioner in district 1. The primary election will be held June 5th 2018. She is seeking to replace Commissioner Billy Garrett, who is term limited. Antoinette is inviting all residents to attend her 3rd community event Friday, November 17th.

The event is free and open to the public, regardless of what district you live in. For admission, please bring canned food items or toiletries (toilet paper, feminine products, and pampers). These products will be donated throughout the community. There will be free food, face painting, a jumping balloon, and Antoinette will be giving away dozens of books. There will be performances by Daring Diamond Hip Hop Studio (ages 3+). All goods are first come, first serve. The event will be held at Klein Park (155 N Mesquite St, Las Cruces, NM) from 4 PM to 6:30 PM. Antoinette wants to bring the community together at this wheelchair accessible event. Antoinette is committed to improving the lives of all Doña Ana County residents. She believes that “a society can be judged by the way it treats its most vulnerable populations.” Her top issues include addressing food insecurity, transit, economic development, and infrastructure spending. She has a background in anthropology, sustainable development, and applied economics. Antoinette is a former employee of the City of Las Cruces. She currently works as a caregiver, private tutor, and is a substitute teacher.
