Downtown Events Set For Las Cruces

 
  Downtown Events January 18-24, 2016

  • Main St:
  • Farmers and Crafts Market:

o   January 20 & 23, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Museums and Cultural Center:

o   Branigan Cultural Center –The Beggars of Venice, by Ed Smith. The exhibit will be on display through Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016.
o   Branigan Cultural Center –Remembering the Mays, an exhibit celebrating our local history and one of Las Cruces’ pioneering families. The exhibit will run thru Jan. 23, 2016.

o   Branigan Cultural Center – Presents “Visionarias”, a collection of images from the female empowerment project in the Sacred Valley of Peru – thru Feb. 27.

o   Las Cruces Railroad Museum – Join Mrs. Prickett and her delightful puppets as they read books and tell stories to engage children of all ages. Meet the whole gang at 11 a.m. on the 2nd Thursday of the each month.

o   Las Cruces Railroad Museum – Family Game Day, every Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon.

  • Branigan Library:

o   Teen Game Night – Every Tuesday, for ages 12-18.
o   Toddler Time –Wednesday & Thursday at 10 a.m. story time for ages 3 and up.

o   Read to me - Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Story time for ages 1-3.

o   Mother Goose Time – Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Activities for infants & their adults.

o   Munson Book Club featuring “Falling in Live by Donna Deon - Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m.

o   Color me Stress Free – Wednesday Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. – Program is for adults and registration is required.

o   Rhythm Round-Up: Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Music & motion for ages 6 - 10.

o   Team Anime - Every Saturday at 1 p.m. Watch an hour of anime & do a manga or other Japanese-related activity for ages 12-18.

o   Fourth Sunday Movie – Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. FREE award winning movies, movies are not rated and not suitable for family viewing or small children

  • Live Theater:
