An El Paso policeman who died two weeks after he was badly beaten will be honored this week with several ceremonies.
Officer Jonathan Molina suffered a fractured skull and internal head injuries while off-duty Sept. 25 after confronting 17-year-old Juan Antonio Gonzalez and two others who were vandalizing his personal car.
Gonzalez was later arrested and is charged with capital murder and held on a $5 million bond.
The 29-year-old officer, who died Friday, will be honored with a funeral service and burial Friday at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery
