Fourth generation Texan Maxey Scherr, an attorney from El Paso, announces her candidacy for the United States Senate on Thursday in El Paso, kicking off a statewide tour.
Scherr will be joined in El Paso by supporters and an RV that will take her across Texas to meet voters over the course of the campaign. Maxey is attempting to be the first Democrat from El Paso elected to statewide office.
