Alamogordo – The commander at Holloman Air Force Base says the arrival of F-16s for training missions has been pushed back 18 months. Col. David Krumm says the first F-16s from Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Ariz., will begin arriving in April 2013. The Alamogordo Daily News reports at least 450 airmen will also be moving to Holloman.
To prepare for the F-16 arrivals, the base will need to finish work on three major projects in 2012 including a jet taxiway and two facilities for training at a cost of $18 million.
